The two silhouettes presented here are from the Summer 1940 Haute Couture collection. The first is a sheath dress in black silk crepe, accompanied by a blue bolero embroidered with jet. The "mermaid" dress shape was invented by Schiaparelli.

The second model is a two-tone long dress in aqua silk faille and ruby ​​silk jersey.
